Rachel Carson was one person who made a big difference in the area of environment and health. She was a key person in the banning of DDT in North America in the 60’s.

We want to honour people and businesses in our community that are making a difference in health and the environment.

Angie Evans
Angie Evans - 2007  
Angie Evans received the Individual award exemplifying her leadership in helping to transform our perspectives on the direct link between our own health and that of the earth. She did this as the project orchestrator behind Smoke Free Bow Valley. Canmore now has a Smoke Free Bylaw thanks to Angie's efforts.
