Things EVERY Woman Should Know
Things
Every Woman Should Know - printer friendly version
Many of us have healthy daily habits of self-care like brushing and flossing
our teeth and moisturizing our skin. What do we do daily though to care for
our breasts? Typically, not a lot. Why? We’ve never been taught.
The Pink and Green Team of women are super excited at the possibility of
breast care falling easily into every woman’s daily routine…into YOUR daily
routine!
To make it simple we’ve laid some ideas out for you with your day in mind. The
main focus is on teaching you ways to support your lymphatic system flushing
toxins from the breast tissue and your circulatory system increasing blood
flow to and away from your breasts. Why? End result is healthier breast tissue
- AND healthier tissue is less susceptible to carcinogenic changes. YEAH!
We have grown up with a lot of taboos around breasts and touching them at all
may seem very awkward at first. Keep at it, it’s time to break some taboos –
our breasts are in need of some T-L-C!
SHOWER TIME:
| - |
Before showering, dry brush your skin with a natural fiber skin brush in the direction of your heart. This supports your lymphatic system to drain toxicity. Dry skin brushing benefits your whole body AND makes skin radiant & reduces cellulite. See www.pinkandgreenribbon.com for more info. |

While showering, alternating the temperature of the water is a simple way to promote good circulation to your breasts. This improves the microcirculation in tissue, bringing nutrients and oxygen to the cells and removing waste more efficiently. Shower following this sequence of water temperature changes: 1 min hot, 20-30 seconds cold. Do this 2 or 3 times ending the shower with cold. |
| |
| - |
While enjoying the hot and trying to take your mind off the cold, cup your hands around your breasts, gently pull your breast away from your chest wall and move your breasts in a circular or up and down movement. This allows breast generated lymph fluid to drain out of the breasts into an important lymphatic drainage area called the retro mammary space (the evening breast jiggle does this too). |

After showering, be aware of what you put on your skin because what you put on, you put in. Choose products that are healthy for your body and our planet. Thanks to Rocky Mountain Soap Company for being a leader in natural, healthy products! |

DAYTIME TIPS:
| - |
If you need a bra, choose a bra that is cotton, has no underwire and allows the breasts to move a little. Make sure it’s comfortable and the proper size and that it leaves no red marks on your skin. |
| |
| - |
Go for a breast massage sometime soon and feel for yourself the benefits and the lightness. |
| |
| - |
Move your body! This increases blood and lymph circulation throughout the body. Find something active you enjoy and do it regularly. Arms up ladies! Four hours per week of exercise can result in a 37% reduction in risk for breast cancer. |
| |
| - |
Learn about breast thermography – a non-invasive scan of your breast health that determines irregularities. |
| |
EVENING BREAST CARE:
| - |
If you can, take your bra off when you get home. |
| |
| - |
Before bed apply castor oil or another healthy breast oil to your breasts. |
| |
| - |
Take a minute to do the breast jiggle before bed – it is super easy and if it makes you (or your partner) laugh, PERFECT – laughing definitely increases its effectiveness! Basically, while lying on your back in bed and applying the oil (or without oil), gently lift and move from side to side and up and down one breast at a time - give them a little jiggle to support draining. |
